Liz Malraux Couture: Generations

Greetings my beloved readership,

important events are only a few times or even just once a year. One of these events is the Liz Malraux Couture fashion show which is once in February and once in August to present the spring/summer collection and the autumn/winter collection. On August 6, 2015 the long awaited event took part again in the noble hotel Atlantic Kempinski in the heart of the north-German capital Hamburg according to the motto: GENERATIONS. Get to know why in the following.

Liz Malraux fashion shows are always like a family reunion, you are meeting old friends, you make new friends, you are happy and have fun and still days, weeks and months later you can tell about them.
High class models such as Oumy Sakho, Zoe Helali or Tereza Fajksová enriched the catwalk once again and personally I was very happy to see my beloved models on the catwalk again.

During the show the designer from Hamburg presented eleven different trends for the coming autumn/winter 2015/2016 season. The fashion show under the motto GENERATIONS symbolizes and unites young with old, experiences but as well friction and furthermore tension. The designer united young. modern, provocative, style-confident and discreet together into a new collection suitable for every age.
The new generation stands for freedom and this is what Liz Malraux focused on. She herself says that her fashion is art that is not simply given away but passed from one generation to the next one but always within the family.
As a star on the catwalk Liz Malraux invited Mariella Ahrens an actress from Munich to join her models.

As Liz Malraux' apparently favorite blogger (J) I've got a seat in the press loge. I was accompanied by my best friend. You know her from behind the scenes of Fall4Me.

The show was opened with the theme "The Power of Colors": With a mix of old and contemporary a new collection was created which is to be seen as art.

The second theme was just as colorful. Inspired by the weather at home in Hamburg where we have cold and rainy summers and gentle winters out of control. Therefore Liz Malraux combined the colors of summer together with the colors of winter and created a collection of bouclé with matched colors for the whole year and so she named it "Four Seasons".

Her next there "Contrasts" was the complete opposite of the previous one. In this theme she used the color of champagne for and elegant trend in combination with a casually worn maxi-skirt at hip-rise in her famous style of Aristo. The timeless contrast was made real with the color black.

The color black played a big role in the next theme as well which was named "Orange Classic" even though it could have as well been named "Modern Classic" since orange is the trend color of the year. Other than in summer for winter orange is combined with black in all its shades and homogenized. For this theme the designer used a new technique of knitting.

The designer continued with a at the first sight rather calm sounding and seeming theme with the deep brown, however "Still Life" simply describes the magic of details with embroidery and the love towards them as we are used to it from Liz Malraux Couture.

Details are as important in the next theme which is named after the main item of the look "Bag-Style" describes that Liz Malraux managed to combine bag and outfit perfectly into one look.

The autumn/winter season always brings nostalgia with it therefore the "British Classic" trend as Malraux calls it returned in this fashion show . Commonly known fabrics and pattern such as flannel or cashmere were made suitable for everyday life and business.

Another old friend that always returns in Liz Malraux Couture collections is the so called "Mystic" theme that is all about lacquer, gothic and coolness.

The more the end approached the more exquisite Liz Malraux' collection became among others because of the theme "Royal". Brocade is the main fabric Malraux worked with for this theme. Apart from the royal fabric majestic colors were used to create a trend with the know-how of the 21st century.

Dresses from 1000 and 1 night are the dream of every woman. Therefore they should be worn on special occasions. Liz Malraux fulfilled herself a dream with this theme "Oriental Nights" and gave each dress from which every single one is an unicum her personal touch with the all-time famouse crocodile leather and multi-color optics.

One can only congratulate the star-designer Liz Malraux to such a breath-taking collection she enriched us with for the coming season, personally I thank her as well for the invitation and heartily welcome. No surprise she is one of my most favorite fashion designers. She is a great person and always catches my taste with her mix of classy and modern.

Last but not least Liz Malraux ' regular customers along with their offspring and presented their favorite items by Liz Malraux Couture. My personal highlight was my friend and model Regina San with her baby boy Alexander Lucien.

Huge congratulations also to the models who did an excellent job
